1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
Start Your Little Ones Off Right From The Beginning!
Earn prizes to make an at home story time kit as you build reading habbits with your little one! Read a book (any book!) with your newborn, infant, toddler, or preschool-aged child. The goal is to read 1,000 books before they start kindergarten. Learn more about the program here.

Story Times May 2025:
Strollers and Stories - Baby Story Time Ages 0-2:
The Library may be closed from May 5 through May 17, but baby story time will still be happening! Meet Miss Rachael on the lawn of the First Congregational Church of Sharon Mondays at 10:30 AM. Remember to bring a blanket, sunscreen, and anything else to keep you and your little one comfy outside. In the event of bad weather, strollers and stories will be canceled. Cancellations will also be posted on our website and social media.
Story time for little ones birth through two and their caregivers. We will sing songs, do some baby bounces, explore senses, and share books. Start your little one's journey to literacy and chat with other caregivers.
Please register for this event to be notified of any cancellations. Walk-ins are welcome.
Crescent Ridge Story Time:
Starting May 1st, we will be back at Crescent Ridge Dairy for weekly story time at 11 AM on Thursdays all spring and summer long!
We will read books, sing songs, play games, and more! Books are geared toward children in 2-5 years old, but children outside that age range are welcome to join. Registration is not required but encouraged so you get notifications about weather related cancellations.
This story time will be outside in the sun so remember your sunscreen! Feel free to bring a blanket, chairs, picnic and whatever else will keep you and your little ones comfortable. In the event of bad weather, story time will be canceled. Announcements will be made here in the calendar, via email, and on social media if it is moved indoors.
Crescent Ridge Dairy is located at 407 Bay Rd, Sharon, MA 02067. Story time will be held in the field next to the dairy bar. Look for the goats and white tent. I recommend parking behind the dairy bar so you are close to the gate and away from ice cream traffic.
