Local History Archive: Sharon Advocate

With heartfelt thanks to the Sharon Community Preservation Commission for funding the Local History Project in 2015, the Sharon Public Library was able to begin the digitization process for the Town of Sharon newspapers. More newspapers will be added as funds allow. The following newspapers and ranges have been digitized:
  • Sharon Item (1909)
  • Sharon Advocate (1883 and forward, though there are some missing issues over the years)

The Sharon Public Library Newspaper Digitization Project is supported by Mass Humanities, whose grants inspire considered thought, conversation, and action through the humanities. We're happy to participate in their mission to improve civic life in Massachusetts.
