About Youth Services
The mission of the Sharon Public Library Children’s Department is to provide quality materials, programs and services to families and children age birth to twelve. We believe in creating a positive experience for every child so that we may encourage a life long love of reading. We support early literacy through a variety of programs, including baby, toddler, and Pre-K story times that encompass the Every Child Ready to Read @ your library® initiative. We offer book groups, host science, art and music educators, and run an annual summer reading program. We collaborate with schools and area organizations to support learning and literacy throughout the community.

Registering for Programs
To register for children’s programs you must have a library card from an OCLN member library. A Sharon Public Library card with a Sharon address is required for programs that specify “Sharon residents only.”
1. Go to www.sharonpubliclibrary.org. Underneath the Upcoming Events select “View the full calendar here.”
2. Find the program for which you are registering, then select the “Register” icon. Enter your library card number and pin. If you have not changed the pin associated with your account, you will use "ocln" as your pin.
3. Fill out the registration form and select “Send” at the bottom of the page. Depending on a program’s capacity you will immediately be notified that you are registered, waitlisted or declined.
If you are unable to attend a program you may cancel your registration by calling the Children's Department at 784-1578 x. 1432.
