Do you have a story you want to tell, and don't quite know where to start?  In this free, 1.5 hour writing workshop, facilitated by award-winning novelist and Sharon resident Thomas McNeely, we will work on the the basics of character, plot, description and setting to jump start your stories, whether they are fiction or memoir. Sharon History Digitized

We've begun digitizing parts of our historical collection to provide off-site access to the documents.  Thanks to funding provided by the Digital Commonwealth, we will be able to digitize more items every year.  Included in the first batch are Marsengold High School Yearbooks, William R. New Head of Youth Services

Jonah Smiley, a former school librarian with experience at the K - 8 and high school levels, is excited to join the Sharon Public Library staff as the new Head of Youth Services. In addition to five years experience in the public schools, he holds an MLS from Simmons College.

Jonah hopes to bring his passion for games and technology to SPL's youth programming. When not at the library he can usually be found in his garden or unsuccessfully trying to teach his retired greyhound, Elvis, how to share the couch.
