Reference
Area
What is a reference database?
An online resource with material from a variety of sources such as magazines, journals, newspapers, encyclopedias & more.
How is a database different from using Google?
The sources in the databases consist of electronic versions of critically acclaimed books & magazines currently available in print. They are all fully cited so you can be assured of their authority & integrity. They are easily searchable & most of the articles are available in full text. BEST OF ALL, EVERYTHING IS FREE!
Tips:
To do a general search across multiple databases, use General OneFile,
Academic OneFile or access the Full Suite of Gale Databases:

To search for a specific magazine title, use the "Browse Publications" feature.
Careers & Testing
Access Peterson's Testing & Education Center for online practice exams & eBooks to prepare for AP exams, SATs, citizenship, graduate boards and many professional licensure exams. You can also research colleges and build your resume with this tool.
Educator's Reference Center is a great online journal for educators or students of education, covering all aspects of teaching & child development.
