Our Collection

The Sharon Public Library's collection includes a variety of materials intended to meet your informational, educational, and recreational needs.
 
OUR COLLECTION

BOOKS
Our collection consists of over 80,000 items, both fiction and non-fiction, for children, teens, and adults. We also have a number of Special Collections, including a Local History collection; Foreign Language books in Russian, Chinese, and Hebrew; resources for caregivers of Alzheimer's and dementia; and resources for caregivers of children with special needs.
NEWSPAPERS
We receive local, regional, and national papers, including The New York Times, Banker & Tradesman, Business Investor's Daily, and The Patriot Ledger. We also have back issues of the Sharon Advocate on microfilm.
MAGAZINES
We subscribe to over 150 periodicals for adults, teens, and children. Issues are available in print at the library or online through Zinio.
AUDIO BOOKS
For patrons who want to listen to the world of literature, we have hundreds of titles, both fiction and non-fiction, available to borrow on CD and Playaway.
DVDS
Our DVD collection contains non-fiction titles and documentaries on travel, culture, home repair, and parenting as well as feature films and television series of interest to adults, teens, and children. New DVDs are always being added!
MUSIC CDS
Our comprehensive music collection spans multiple genres, from pop and rock to classical and opera, and everything in between. We also offer access to a streaming digital collection through Freegal.
eMEDIA

SHARON HISTORY & DIGITIZED COLLECTION
Discover Sharon's history! We are proud to be the Town of Sharon's repository for materials by and about Deborah Sampson. In addition to our on-site archives, the Library began digitizing parts of our historical collection to provide off-site access to these fascinating documents.
